Sun Shade for rear window (Outside)

I have a 2002 32RL that has the large rear window that can really suck in the Texas heat. I have seen several trailers that had an outside roll down solar screen. The screen appeared to be the "Sunguard" type material and fastened to the bottom of the window when rolled down. Anyone know where I can buy one?

Thanks
Paul

Hello Paul,

Welcome to the Forum, we've been waiting for you.

I too have been working on this problem. For you the answer may be www.carefreeofcolorado.com.

I'm currently working on my own design which I'm making for windows that have frames around them on the outside. I'll have the first one finished by this weekend. If all works as planned I will post the details for the do-it your self'ers. Mine will be no drill and easily removeable.

Stay tuned and Happy Camping

We have the one from Carefree. We are going to do all the windows eventually. There were other posts on this same subject. Use the search mode to find it.

Please let us know how you make out with your design. Sounds really great and would love to have something for the back window also. Good luck!!!

Paul,
This was discussed sometime ago in a post by Gruffy. If not mistaken he made covers for his windows using material of woven polyester impregnated with vinyl. Cost was $2.00 to $3.00 per running foot. This material was purchased at a canvas shop or tent and awning shop. He used eyelets and velcro. Do a search of his posts, he had pictures of the finished product.
