"Got Ranch" What are you pulling?

OK Ford King Ranch Owners, what model are you pulling with the finest tow vehicle ever made? I am sure there are website creepers out that don't post on the site that are dying to tell us.

I thought you said you had a Ford. Then you said you have the finest tow vehicle made. I don't understand. Nice looking rig.

2005 king Ranch which is king of the road in my thoughts and 3685FL 2005 with peeling nose cap decals. Love the truck it is the nicest interior in all the trucks made. And yes rames14 I had 1999 Silverado K1500 which I thought was the best until it staring pulling smaller rigs. looked at 2001 D/A combo but Ford had more options and whole lot less expensive that Chevy, and after getting 2005 model more than likely will never turn back around to the Chevy side of life. Lot better equipped to handle heavy loads, just my thoughts.

Well, with my finest tv out there, I pull a model 3280. Thanks for reminding me! I guess what you mean by finest tv ever made depends on how happy you are with the tv you own, actually i think they are all the finest ever made if they are pulling a Monty!

We are pulling a 2980RL with the extra fiberglass gelcoat. Great truck. Have made some mods to it.

Our first 5er was a 3280. We really like the change to the 3400 though. The floorplan just suits our needs better. I keep it parked in a 1800sf "barn" when not on the road. I have to tell ya this, that 3400 is real "barn shrinker"! It's a huge empty bldg. until I back her in, then it gets pretty small in there!!! No wonder my friends (affectionately) call the 3400, "Godzilla".

The "King", with a few mods from Banks, pull Godzilla like it's not even back there! (unless of course there's a cross-wind) The "King" is my daily ride here in the Houston traffic...it's like a Mercedes on steriods!

Folks I am not too partial, but this is the second I have owned and right now, would never own a different brand of diesel. We went to a new one only because we wanted teh crew cab. All in all the absolute best truck I have ever owned; I have owned over 15 trucks so this is saying a lot.

Well, gee, ours is not a King Ranch, just a Lariat, but it tows a 2003 3295RK weighing in at 14,360 lbs. The Ford is a sweet tow vehicle.

The integrated brake controller is the absolute smoothest controller I've ever experienced and I've experienced a lot of them. It is soooo nice to have no banging around back there at all. None. Zip. Nada. Sure makes it stop more quickly and smoothly, too. I am spoiled and could never go back to an aftermarket controller.

Well we are pulling a 3400 with an 06 F350 King Ranch. While all the 3 manufactures are making great trucks these days, I am just a Ford man. I only have 4,000 miles on this one (had 83,000 on my 01 F350) and don't have a lot of time pulling the 5th wheel yet but the few short trips I have made I've been very impressed. I'll soon be heading south soon and will give it a good workout.

Just got my F350 King Ranch 2006 with Turbo Diesel--only has 250 miles on it! I am looking forward to the 3475RL that will be here in March. Question--Any air hitch recommendations?? Is the height of the truck bed and hitch combo an issue for the 3475RL?

I have a Reese 20K with "Bed saver" in long box, crew cab. It hooked up perfect. If you have a short box there are several slider hitchs out there for you to chose from. There are many other good hitches out there ranging from over $2,000.00 to less than $500.00

timandsusan,
Adelmoll has the 3475RL and a Ford F350 truck, if they are not along soon send Helen a private message. Bill and Helen are really great people, I am sure they would be more than happy to share what hitch they have and how their 3475RL is set up.

timandsusan, I too was worried abut the hitch because I ordered the 18" wheels on the King Ranch. I kept my hitch from my 01 Ford, which is an 18K rocker hidden hitch and installed in the 06 in the same height adjustment holes. I had no problems, in fact the Montana has just a slight lean forward. I do plan on adding the adjustable Rancho 9000 shocks with the on-board compressor. I had these shocks on my 01 and it really made a difference in towing and handling. It's one of those things until you've had them you don't know what you are missing.
