water pump replacement

I had my water pump go out this weekend and I'm curious to see if any of you PSD owners have been through this. I have ordered parts from Powerstrokeshop.com with satisfactory results in the past. They offer a new pump, oem t/stat, t/stat housing, inlet tube, all gaskets and seals for $225.00. New oem water pump( I assume without the rest of kit) for $248.00. Any Advice, I had the truck towed home since I have a shop here. No experience with diesels.

A link for the water pumps is below.

Don't forget to get the coolant additive for your PSD. I only had my HPOP seal let go. Dealer fixed.

Might be a little late on this reply, but some advice anyway.

If you haven't tied into this yet, you might want to consider changing radiator hoses at the same time. If you do, get the upper radiator hose for trucks equipped with dual alternators. It runs over the serpentine belt instead of through it. That way if you have to replace the serpentine belt, you don't have to remove the rad hose.

Thanks for the info Gary. I decided to change the hoses and belts while I was doing the job and Chris at powerstrokeshop.com sent the right hoses and the new belt with the pump. I was surprised with close examination the alt. bracket looked to be designed for that type hose and even though it had that type on it I still replaced it with new. The job went smoothly and I'm driving the truck now with no problems.

Thanks again
