Vacation is over
Hi all,
We’re back from our Florida vacation. Three weeks was enough time for Sherry and I to get into trouble. We bought a pad site and golf cart at http://www.tgoresort.com/ The Great Outdoors in Titusville. It’s on the 14th fairway right off the ladies tee.
We are renting back to the original owners till the end of the month. We have to wait till next November to enjoy it. I’m counting the days already. Three weeks of perfect weather, shared with old friends made it very hard to head back north.

Looks like a pretty nice site you got yourselves there. Congratulations.
If we weren't on the west coast and still employed, we'd be asking if we could rent it once-in-a-while in your unoccupied times.

This is so weird.I too was checking on buying a RV site at that Resort.I see them listed for around 80 thousand or so.i would think it would be a great place to settle down and retire too.seems to have every thing I would want in a retiring spot.i love golfing.Any inside information you could give me on the purchase would be great.Do they allow you to wash your Rv/truck on site??I am planning on going full time in 2 years and Florida sure would be a nice place to call home.Any advice or information you could steer my way would be great.

This is our 4th year at TGO. We just love it. Right off Rt 95 Easy to get too, 35 minutes from Disney, 25 minutes from Cocoa Beach.
4 years ago you could have gotten a site for 25K. Last year they were 50K. This year through the realty office they are 90 to 100K plus. Our deal was 'sale by owner'. We literally made the deal seconds after the owner put up the sign. We paid 86K plus 1800 for the golf cart. This year is the last that they will develop pad sites. All future development will be Million dollar plus Homes. When the land goes up forsale its sold in a few hours. Nice pad sites are getting hard to find. Only when an oldtimer decides to move up to a house do they become available. We looked at four listings from the TGO real Estate office. 2days latter they were sold.

Congratulations Bighorn. Looks like a really nice spot. We are 150 miles or so north of you and love it. We won't talk about July and August , but it's really great to be able to play golf all winter. Know you'll enjoy it.

The association runs a rental pool with one rate, $44.00 a day. Owners outside the pool rent by the month or season averaging $800 to$1100 and Electric. We put up a rental sign to see what kind of response we would get. The calls were overwhelming, but everyone wants December through March. One gentleman wanted to rent for two years. He is currently paying $1100 a month. We’re still not sure what we will do, Heck we might just put up a sign saying “Reserved for Montana Owners Only”

I hear you, looked like very nice resort. Pulled your 3685 into it yet to see how much she took up?
