After 40+ years...

No I didn't retire, not yet! But after working a little over 40 years at the plant a day shift job was created in my dept that allows me to enjoy the same job that I've worked for years. For most of the years I’ve worked a rotating shift with only one weekend off a month. Our plant went to a rotating 12 hour shift several years back which gave shift workers more days off per month but still it’s a tiresome rotation. The continuous changing of the shifts was beginning to get more tiresome to me than in the past. In March I began a four-day work-week with Fri, Sat & Sundays off. I really enjoy it now and hope that it will last as long as I do there! Now every weekend is game for camping!
