Thanksgiving 2016 was spent out boondocking with our new 3440RL in the Mojave Desert, South of Ridgecrest, CA. Go out every T-Day week with a group of desert ATV and MC riders (I dont anymore). The rig worked out real well and was a blast to have the extra room for goodies, that the Monty can carry in the cargo hole, like my BBQ, Dutch Ovens and dual burner stoves. Did mention I do alot of outdoor cooking? Always mindful of the water situation, it was watch carefully and never ran out; of course we use bottle water for coffee and dog watering. The Oxygenics shower wand is such a relief in saving water. Only factor that wasnt liked was the noisy Jetflo water pump. Rattles the piping but we lived with it. I used the Honda 2000i generator along with a 120 watt solar panel to keep batteries up, and also so I could watch the TV via Dish Sat. Next trip will be after New Years to the Pismo Beach area. If you look out past the front of Front Cap, that is Ridgecrest and also China Lake Naval Airstation.
