Sewar Boom

Just got our new 2011 3150RL and have a question about the sewar boom hookup. How do you folks use it? It has an inner cap under the larger hose. Do you leave your hose hooked up and inside the tube?

I took the whole boom off as it just didn't seem to work well. I'm looking forward to this rally we are going to to see how others have handled it.

I took the boom off as well. This made room for a termination slide valve.

Sheepdog,
I for one, love mine. I had to extend the tube to make it work for me. There has been much written including some good photos. Do a search on sewer boom and you'll get plenty of info.

We love ours. In Wisconsin there aren't many full hook ups. When leaving a campsite, our hose is already connected. When we do have full hookups, it supports the trough for angled drainage. We also added a sewer door right above it for couplings and additional hose.

The sewer boom works great. Really simplifies the entire sanitation process. It's nice not to have to disconnect and store the hose. I did trim off some of the large tubing to allow it to fully swivel and I added a termination valve at the hose hookup to ensure no leaking. Every trip fellow campers come over and ask about the boom.
