Vacuum beater bar attachment.
A re-post, some have been asking:
I found an air powered beater nozzle attachment at Wal*Mart,
Turbo Nozzle, part #90698 in hardware-tools section for $22.83.
Many of our members have gone to the vacuum powered beater bar attachment for better dirt removal from carpeting in our trailers.

Yes, and there is also another one in the sweeper-bag aisle (Wal-mart), that has an upholstery attachment for pet owners as well as the beater bar. Costs a little more than the one Ozz is listing but it works well.

Kim,
I saw the one I spoke of in Lake Havasu City Az.
I will look here in South Padre.
We absolutely love ours, would not be without it. Sue keeps it under the refrigerator, we put a hinge on the compartment and made a door there. (As many members have)
Kim, I will research it for you.

We got ours at Lowes last year for under $20. Works great on our central vac.

You don't have to go the air powered route, We just use the powerehead from the stick house central vac. We have to take the stick house hose as well because it is current conducting, but if you do that, you can just plug the hose into a wall outlet and use the powered beater bar. That said, we do have an air powered head for the trailer because it is smaller and lighter and works with the supplied central vac hose.
Also, Home Depot sell the same vac as the Dometic, but under a different brand name, they also carry bags and other accessories, possibly including a powerhead.

Thanks for the headsup on the bags, John. We just installed the last of the bags that came with our vac so will be needing resupply one of these days.

Be sure you purchase a package that contains the filters that have to be replaced occasionally. There are two, one you change more often than the other. I think the package contains 2 of the more frequent ones and one of the other that you don't change that often.

Go to "shopvac.com", click on the nozzle icon and then in search put in the part number 90698.
$9.99 with a first time 10% discount. The only problem the freight for me was over $11.00.
Good luck,
Dick Driver
