When not using the RV for a coupe of months, do you store with slideouts in or out? I've have always been told slideouts out?

Hi

We never leave our slides out when the trailer sirs unoccupied for more than a day less chance of water intrusion.

According to the manual if you leave the slides out for extended time you should occasionally wipe the pistons on hydraulics to remove dust that seems to stick. I wipe mine with moisten wd40 lint free towel.

We have always left our slides in, when not in use. Saves wear and tear on seals, pretty much eliminates chance of water leakage, saves wear and tear on the toppers if installed, and makes it much more difficult for anyone breaking in to the rig.

I would leave them in just to cut down on sun damage to the seals.

Also if it has been stored for a while and having the slides in, there is less of a worry of having a weak battery with enough juice left to bring them in

Slides in. Less weather damage.
