Water leak on slide-outs

I have a 2004 Montana 3685FL that we purchased last May. The dealer hauled it to our permanent campsite and set it up. Both front slide-outs have been leaking ever since. Also when we went up to camp last month, it appears that there is a power drain somewhere. The TV screen is only partially filled. Numerous attempts by the dealer to correct the leaking situation have been in vain. Is there anyone out there who has a camper like ours and are experiencing the same problems?

Wish I could help with your problem, but am not experiencing those particular ones. I do want to welcome you to the forum. It is a great place to pose your questions. I am confident someone will come along with a some helpful suggestion.

We just had a few minor leaks and would recommend that you try these:

1.Walk around your slide-outs and inspect the seals on the top
and sides. Look for poor/misaligned or missing seals.

2.Check to make sure that all seams are caulked completely and
have not seperated.

3.Look at the aluminum molding (especially the ends) and make
sure that the caulking is good. If there is no caulking at the
ends of these moldings they can funnel water into the trailer.

So far this has worked for us.

Tve12001, on the power drain, is your rig not plugged in to shore power when you are gone? If not, the LP gas detector is running all the time and is probably draining your battery. Also, if the climate control switch is in the summer position, it will draw down the battery as well. Also the boost button for the TV antenna. If you are going to leave the rig for more than a couple of months and will not be plugged in to shore power you might disconnect the battery when you leave. Numerous people have installed a marine type battery disconnect to quickly and easily disconnect the battery.

Good luck. I hope you get this resolved. That would be a real pain to have to deal with each time you want to use the coach.
