temporarily down for the count

Had a severe kidney stone attack Friday evening and we are hurting. We are on some killer pain drugs that make me even more wacko than I normally am so I am trying not to post anything on the Pancake bkfst till i can make some sense out of what I read. Am passing stones every day and that is not fun. No drugs right now as I wanted to see how much I hurt...bad move..

Dang Rich! I hear passing stones are worse than childbirth (but what do I know about childbirth anyway?)
Here's hoping you get r done soon and are feeling better.

Rich-- Take a hammer and bust them things up a little and they won't hurt as much! Seriously, hope all will pass with care and you are back to your Wacky self again soon! Hope this doesn't slow you down for heading for Goshen! Mary says to take a couple tablespoons of olive oil every day and it may help you out! If not, you can always drink some vinegar and become a really good Italian dressing!

OK folks, gave you a chance to poke Rich but only Rondo did. My question is about the "we" in kidney stone passing and killer drugs. Is the "we" you and the kidney, you and DW, or you and someone close to you..

I passed 27 in a 24 hour period and thought about digging a hole an climbing into it. I couldn't get into the doctor's office until Monday to get them treated with ultrasound to break them up into smaller pieces. Thinking back on it, I don't think I would have wanted smaller, but more stones.

Get well soon and stay on the pain lesseners...

My thought exactly the last time we had a severe attack. I said I do not need more stones. Have passed several and going off the pain killer for a day tells me there are more there. The cat scan indicated a lot of stones. We will get another tomorrow to see what is still there.
