Back in Flowreedah....and results of TV problem..

Well we finally arrived back at our home park in Florida. I say finally as on our way down from Goshen we had the last of the tire problems which caused us an unscheduled second night in Kentucky. We got back on the road and just 5 miles or so from the Alabama line into Florida the TV started acting up. Couldn't get more than 20MPH and that was on the flat. Good Sam ERS sent a wrecker and we were towed back to Alabama to an RV park we stayed in back in May.
Another 2 unscheduled nights in Alabama. And people wonder why we don't travel with reservations.

BTW-the TV problem was a collapsed? air filter. While it was at the GMC dealer I had them do a complete 50,000 mile service and it was during this service that they discover the air filter problem. The TV ran perfectly for the rest of the trip.

So iffn ya'll get any where near Tampa/Clearwater this winter give us a shout. We wiil be at Avalon RV Resort just off US 19 in Clearwater.

Glad you folks made it back ok. Of course, we knew that you would. We are on the fence between FL and TX for this winter and if it is FL, we will come a knockin' again.

Glad you made it safe. We are in Ga. at this time, preparing for our trip to Fl. in a couple of weeks.

Maybe we can hookup in Jan. when we will be down around the Clearwater area.

Hoping you fall off on the Florida side of that fence.

Glenn you gotta listen to Lorraine when she tells ya "Don't sit on the Hood" LOL

I have never heard of a collapsed air filter. I didn't think Alabama air was that thick.

Glad ya made it home safe & sound.

Glenn & Loraine,

Glad to hear you made it! Was that campground the South Birmingham CG? We broke down across the street from there. We were lucky, that was our over night stop on our way to Florida this past February! My problem was a high oil pressure O-ring failure. Boy, hate when that happens, the truck will not run at all!!!

Good trips and maybe we will see you this coming February, we will be staying at Ft. Desoto

No we were just south of Dothan at Pecan Point. Fortunately our TV did run at an idle. If not we would have roasted while waiting for the tow,

Have you ever been to Fort Desoto?? If not you are in for a treat. Ft Desoto has to be one of the best kept secrets in the state. As you probabily know it is a county run campground and the sites are big and the views of the gulf are fantastic. You're gonna love it.

Glenn was down your way not to long ago on business at Lakeland. Might be down there again after the first of the year on business again. If so will look you up.
