Cargo Bay Slide Out Tray

Has anyone installed a slide out tray in their cargo bay?

I have seen them and they sure look like a great idea for accessing all the junk we stuff into our basement cargo bay.

What company?
What size?
does it slide out from both sides?
How complete (i know some ship without plywood base)?
How much height did you loose to the slides?
Cost$:

We just had a presentation by the MorRyde company and they produce the slide out trays you are asking about. I'm sure they have an online presence. Perhaps a search on Google or Bing would turn up something. And we have had a few fellow MOCers install some brand of tray. Good luck and let us know if you install such a device. Dennis

I installed a MOR/Ryde sliding tray, bought from etrailer.com. Love the sliding tray and built very strong. Weighs quite a bit. Had to add 1 X 4 wood shims under slide so it would slide over the cargo door opening. There are many sizes to choose from.

I installed one I bought thru Camping World. Comes as a kit, you pick the extend length and buy that kit, and you build a 3/4 inch plywood floor, to the width you desire. Believe the brand was Stromberg Carlsen. On the SC website and Camping World website, there should still be a video demonstating the install. They are very nice to have. Not hard to install. Sits level with the lip of the door compartment, so you lose a couple of inches. Cost varies with length kit you buy, believe mine was 54 inches, cost was $400 or so plus shipping. Covered the plywood base with rubber matting from home depot. This particular brand does not have one that slides both ways, but others do. Came with all mounting hardware to include the floor anchors.

Ours came as option on the 2006 3400. It opens both ways. It holds 5 standard plastic milk cartons . It is a Quick draw by Lippert phone 785-282-6366. Helen loves it as it saves her from having to crawl into the compartment to find stuff.

We are talking to Darrell at the service center to see if we can transfer it to the new 3402 BigSky. I was concerned because of the dropped frame and the fact that the holding tanks are right under the floor. If you have the dropped frame what size bolts did you use to bolt it to the floor. The ones on this 2006 are 1 1/4 inch and I fear that is too long.
