Adding a cabinet to the bathroom

We finally got around to adding a cabinet in the bathroom of our 3670. From the factory it came with one whole shelf that wasn't very useful.

Here's the shelf minus the hooks.

I removed the shelf and turned it over. This became the bottom of the new cabinet. (After all it already fit in the space...)

Here's how we attached the blank panels to the front frame.

Here's the front frame completed.

This is how we made the framework pieces. It's a laminate I picked up at Lowes. Light oak peel and stick...

Here's the frame installed on the lower shelf. You can see the nailer blocks we used to attach it to the walls.

And with a donor door from a cabinet we had removed earlier from our Monty. Almost looks like its supposed to be there...

We gained this much room to store TP......

Very, very nice job folks. As my DW states "Hey, that's just what we need in our bathroom", thanks, I think.

Looks very nice Good job.
In our 2008 there is a long cupboard behind the toilet that had 3 shelves in it...we put in more shelves and now we have 6 shelves. We also put a shelf under the bathroom sink and one more shelve in the medicine cabinet. We also put shelves in the coat closet to the right when you come in the door. We needed more space for cans etc so we took the coat hooks out and put in 4 shelves, so with the shelve that was already in there on the bottom we have a total of 5. Lots more room. We also opened up the space under the refrigerator for pans.

Thanks for all the comments. One of our first additions were extra shelves in the closet by the door, now a pantry. Seems like there is always something that makes you say, "Hmmm... I wonder how that would look if I...."

As much as I'd like to take credit for it, the mural was airbrushed on before we bought the unit. There is another one on the end of the slide of a golf course hole on a beach. The Monty was originally from Ohio. Judging by the interior it was well used. I like to say its being renovated. We've been working on the interior (carpet, hardwood floor, cabinets, etc.) and I'm trying to work with Burlington on the graphics.

As everyone else stated, “Nice Job.” A picture is worth a thousand words! Let us know about how the graphics works out. Burlington told me they didn’t have any for the style I have and they look the same as what you have on your camper. I need to get back in touch with them because they indicated I may be able to use a similar pattern.

Very nice cabinet. Very well done and looks like you bought it with the trailer.

We were lucky enough to get one with the rig and it has two shelves. My wife uses it for extra TP and the bottom shelf is where she packs her blow dryer, curling iron and other big items that don't fit under the lavatory. Under the lavatory gets the cleaners and stuff like that.

Again, great job on the construction.
