Thank you! and you are welcome to share our country, especially since many of us take advantage of your country's milder climate in the winter (in some parts anyway).

Actually Canada Day is always celebrated on July 1. Some people may have July 3 off work this year beccause July 1 falls on a Saturday. No doubt there will be some celebratiions carried over to July 3, but Canada Day is always July 1, just as Independance Day is always July 4, and we do wish you all a happy Independance Day.
We hope you enjoy your trip to Blythe, ON. It is in a pleasant rural part of the province, close to the Lake Huron shore.

Thanks. Happy 4th July to all our American friends.
Rich: Being a Federal Govt (ex) employee you should know that if a holiday falls on a Sat. or Sun. it is moved to the next working day. But, being retired, who cares.

Bill..I knew that..Working out of the Cleveland Air traffic center we worked closely with our Canadian neighbors at the Toronto Air Traffic center since we share a lot of airspace. As you say being retired I never gave it a thought till another Canadian Member reminded me. We were more concerned with avoiding the back up at the border with possibly 6 or 700 campers crossing into Canada for the FCRV campvention that begins the 7th with a early day the 6th. Figured the earlier the better..hope 500 other campers are not thinking the same thing. The 3400 is ready to go. This is Helen's Friday (FAA) her regular days off are Monday and Tuesday so today is her 4th of July holiday. To bad she can not get paid for both Holidays since we will be in both countries for them???

We are spending our Canada Day weekend at our seasonal site just at the edge of beautiful Riding Mountain National Park here in Manitoba Canada. The weather is beautiful and the celebrations are going on everywhere in the midst of a sea of Canadian flags. Our site is just a 30 minute drive north of our acreage where we live. Imagine, how many people are that accessible to a National Park!!! Nooooow!, if we can just get retired in the next year and spend the cold Canadian winters in Texas and Arizona then we will be enjoying the greatness of both the countries and the people.

Dar and Maureen, enjoy yourself! My son and his wife live in Neepawa. His Father-in-Law teaches in Minnedosa. I have been past Riding Mountain Park. Looks beautiful.
