We had eleven years and at least 175,000 miles on our 1994 Kit Road Ranger 5W before we traded it in on the Montana. It was very tired, but still willing to go. Sure at the rate that the Montana is coming apart, it will never last that long!

We had our 26 ft. Prowler fifth wheel for ten years. It had no slides and I can't believe how we took our four kids camping in it. We loved it. Then a Keystone Wildcat for a year, but I wanted the Montana when we bought the Wildcat. The next year we got a bigger truck and our Montana. LOVE IT!

We had a 25ft T/T for 3 years, We did not like the bed a fold down couch. We had a Cavalier 29ft 5th Wheel no slides for 13 years This was the busiest time of our lives so we did not use it much. We have put more miles one the Montana in the last 12 months then the last 5th wheel had in the 13 years

We had a 74 Class A Roll-A-Long motor home until Fall 2004. Still in fair shape and was able to sell it for $5,000. So it cost me (other than usual wear and tear) about $10,000 over the 30 years. I don't think I will keep the 2001 Montana that long without upgrading to a newer Montana. Maybe in a year or two?

Have had our 2006 Montana 3000RK for 9 months. It is our 1st 5th Wheel and most likely our last. If it's not, it will definately be another Montana. We went straight from forever in a tent to a Monty!

We had a 26 foot Prowler 5er for four years. The dinette made too short of a bed for our tall daughter. Now, she is happy and so are we! We plan on keeping the Montana for a long time!

We had a 2995 Prowler 5er we got used and kept it about 2 years and traded for Keystone Cougar. Was not the smartest trade, getting the Cougar bunks, since kids were grown...just used for storage. We bought that new in 2001 and kept until we traded for our dream...Monty 2955. Went to camping shows every year, put deposit on one twice, then finally sold the Harley and bought our Monty. Love it to pieces, only had one trip so far,but going this week for a week. Hope to go to FL next spring. Too bad we are not retired yet....

We bought a 9 1/2' Idle Time pick up camper in 1973, sold it in 1981.
Have a fellow retired Army friend who's parents bought a new Airstream TT in 1957. It now sits on my friend's property in its total original condition, even the curtains.

We had a truck camper back in the '70's but got rid of it because of $1/gallon gas. Tented over the next 30 years. Finally, Terrie said no more tenting in 2003. We bought a Rockwood TT and had it a year and upgraded to the Monty. We are planning on keeping this one another five or six years and then upgrading to another new Montana. We have had ours from Wyoming to Texas to Maine in the almost two years we've had it. We spend about fifty nights a year camping and love the 3400 as much today as when we bought it. With the exception of one post that I read, it seems like most everyone would go with another Montana. My wife's sister loved the new Montana 3075RL but couldn't convince her husband so they bought a new Cougar. But, we will certainly look at the 3075 as an option next time. We'll be going to Alaska and the shorter 5er may be a benefit.

We had a jayco tent trailer for 15 years. We loved it and went to the North Coast a lot with the kids. After the kids left we tried our first 5th wheel--a 25 ft Wilderness with one slide in 2003. Just two years later we fell in love with the space and amenities of the 2955RL and will probably keep it a long time. We look back on our backpacking and tenting days with some nostalgia, but wouldn't trade our Montana for anything else right now.

Marsha and I started with a 1994 Coleman pop up that we kept for 4 years. It was replaced with a 1997 Prowler that we kept for eight more.
Now, the 1971 Holiday Rambler that my parents used for years stayed with them until I sold it last year after my mother’s estate cleared up.
Unless something drastic happens to our 3295, I do not see Marsha or I parting with it anytime soon!

Had our last travel trailer 3 years...the one before that for three years also...seems to be a trend for us... I was planning on keeping the Mountaineer for quite a bit longer but now who knows....time will tell
