Look what we got for Christmas!
It’s been a while since we lost our Chihuahua that was about 16 years old. The D/W stated she didn’t want another dog right away. Well I believe she has changed her mind a little bit. She went and looked at this one and almost brought him home yesterday. She did bring some photos of him home and I asked her why she didn’t bring him home? We went this morning and they opened up just to let us get the dog. We thought he was part Besenji and part Chihuahua but when we asked for the Besenji mix they brought us a different one. We thought something looked different than he did in the photos and the D/W noticed that he didn’t seem to have some of the markings that she remembered. When we mentioned the one with the green jacket we all realized we had the wrong one. Well they went and got it and we brought him home. He’s a part Chihuahua mix but we’re not sure what else he’s mixed with. When we got home every one else got up and he seems to be making himself right at home. He has definitely made a nice Christmas gift for everyone. He came from a local animal shelter and they give him all the shots, etc… Now the fun part begins!
We’re going to call him Bandit!
On Edit: Let’s see you pet photos, Go ahead and post them here!
Merry Christmas!

Bill n Donna,
How wonderful! And how nice of the shelter staff to make those arrangements! Congratulations on the new puppy. And you've named him the same as our puppy.
Have fun and a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to you and your family.

Here's ours. DW got him back in 2000. Pepper was about six months old, and had had a pretty rough life. He hates anyone with boots on. I suppose he may have been kicked around some. However, he has a life of leisure now, and he loves to fish. He thinks the recliners were put in the RV especially for him

Here's our Boo Boo (aka Captain)...Don't ask - he used to be a bonafide police dog until my wife got a hold of him and pus (I mean kittiefied) him.
Hey we're both retired...Just don't bring any contraband drugs with you if you visit...

Congrats on the new addition to the family. I am sure he will be one enthusiastic home and camping companion!!! See signature below for the rambunctious duo that accompany us on our camping adventures.

Well we decided to change the dog’s name. We are going to call him “Spike.” We had a family discussion and it just seems a little more appropriate. He hasn’t got used to any particular name. As a matter of fact I don’t think he cares anyway. It’s the people that have to have the training. We catch ourselves calling him by our former dogs name (Paco) a lot. Hard to break us of old habbits!
Happy New Year!

Very cute puppy. Congratulations!
We changed the name of one of our Schnauzers. She wouldn't answer to Maggie so we changed it to Bonnie and she likes that name better.
Here is our 3 pets this Christmas.
