KITCHEN FAUCET UPGRADE

We have been wanting to upgrade our kitchen faucet to something more along the lines of what is being put in the new rigs. So last week I started shopping on the INTERNET and found this at "faucetdirect.com" and this Kitchen Faucet. I was able to get it in the oil rubbed bronze finish to match the rest of the hardware in the rig and after shopping and comparing, the price was right. Below are the photos and description of my install.

Original Faucet

Original Plumbing Connections

Original Faucet and Plumbing Removed

New Faucet

New Faucet

I cut about 6 inches off each supply line including the old connections

These are the new fittings & hoses I used to connect everything

Connection for the water supply lines lines

Hose connection from new faucet to new supply fittings

New plumbing connections installed

Finished product

Total time for the install was about 45 minutes and we think we will really enjoy the higher arch faucet.

Jack

Thank you jackel1959, we were about to do the same thing with the same style and color, our finish on our 1 year old faucet has already rubbed off and we like the high arch style and great work posting what hardware you need I just thought it would be a direct replacement but I guess not

That looks great jackel1959. I need to do the same thing soon. You photos and description will be very helpful.
Are the cabinets doors on the back of the sick standard or did you add those? Sure makes access easy!

Don,
On our floor plan, 3455SA, we have an island kitchen so we have doors on both sides of the sink cabinet. I upgraded the faucet on our previous Mountaineer which did not have easy access like this one. You are right, the doors on the backside of the cabinet sure do make it easy.

bigskyjimmy,

On ours, the original faucet had braided SS supply lines coming from the faucet and had "male" threads that threaded directly into the fittings on the trailer's supply lines which were "female". The new faucet has rigid copper supply lines with "male" threads, but did not have the reach to get to the original trailer supply lines. So the easiest thing, at least for me, was to get the short 9" braided SS hoses with female fittings on either end and then change the connection on the trailer supply lines.
