We replaced our LCD original with an LED. Made a huge difference on the amp draw for boondocking.

I think the OP meant "digital". I replaced both my living room 26" glass tube AND the bedroom 15" glass tube with lighter weight flat 40" and 28" HD digital televisions. Besides the larger and clearer screens, and lower power usage, the weight savings was also a great benefit of this tradeout.

This is posted in the problem solving and technical help forum. Are you looking for ideas on how to replace the old TV? Or have you already replaced it?

Dick is the LED picture any better than LCD?

I didn't do it for that,(did it for the lower power drain) but it's at least as good. I've been told that the original LED's had issues if you watched them from the side, which we do, but the newer ones are just fine.

Thanks Dick. I'll just stay with my 2 yo LCD then as we are happy with it.

We are thinking of doing just that in our 2955. How did you mount yours?

Scattershot - this probably should be in a new thread. But this one has already drifted well off the OP's original post.
I believe your 2955 is similar to my 3075. I replaced the original 26" TV with a 32" LED flat screen. Larger than the old opening, but thin enough and light enough to not be a problem mounting. I got a little carried away by building an insert to go into the vacated opening. But you could just attach a piece of plywood across the opening and install a flat screen mount to it and get a similar result.
Here are some pics;
Since I have the articulating arm, there are some velcro straps mounted to the cabinet behind the TV that I can pull over the front of the TV for travel.
