ac turning on and off

While using ac this summer it would run for some time turn off and start up right away within 10 seconds.this would go on for quite some time (very annoying). The air was cold ,I have a surge guard,no breakers were being triped,it would turn off in the proper manner compressor first then fan soon after and turn on in reverse manner fan first then compressor. This would happen at different campgrounds. This doesn't seem normal to me.Anyone else experience this.

Do you also have a wireless controller for your unit? Or has yours been upgraded to a wired controller?

With all of the trouble that the wireless system has given, that would be my first suspect. My problem mostly is with the furnace control not running or having to set 10 degrees hot to get it running. One time with the air it would not shut down and almost froze us out. Another time with the furnace it would not shut down and the remote would not turn the unit off,I had to pull the fuses to shut it down and then it reset itself. But as the dealer said can't find the problem, you must be setting it wrong !!! Gee, I wish it was that easy.

Wireless controllers are the Devil's doing. Change it out. So many people have problems with them.
