propane bottle secure

F350 dually 8 ft bed.
I am going to purchase a generator with dual fuel. It will live in the bed of my truck. Does anyone have suggestions of securing the propane bottles in the bed?

There is actually a base you can set the bottle in to keep it upright. I believe Camping World sells them but I'm sure they are available elsewhere also. After you have the base, secure the bottle to one of your bed tie down points at the front of the bed. That way you have it secured in a corner to further aid it keeping the bottle upright.

Steve,
I use one of those plastic milk cases that you can purchase at Walmart and numerous other places. I do buy the heavier made cases because the thin walled ones seem to break down pretty fast. I set the 20lb propane bottle in it and set it in the corner of the bed box and secure it with tiedowns or bungie cords to the bed hooks on the floor. Works for us and I also carry my generator/s with me and two 2 1/2 gallon gas cans with me in the same area ahead of the hitch.

And if you are concerned about the propane tank or generator walking, one of the cable style bike locks through the handles and tie down will stop most but the diehard thieves.
