Taking 3000rk to Alaska: conclusion

Montana has repaired all the damage to our RV and we thank them for that. I put shocks on the unit and came from Oregon to Yumaand the ride has improved 100% no open cupboards no falling items and the ride is as good or better then our 99 2750 Montana. We are happy with our Montana and enjoying the Sun in Yuma

What kind of shocks did you add to your unit? Are they in addition to or in place of the Moryde suspension?

It's good to hear that you were taken care of and that the shocks took care of the problem. Keep that sun shining in Yuma, we'll be there in few weeks.

Very Interesting about the shocks. What kind and who put them on. Any pictures of how they were installed please... I believe the addition of shocks might solve a lot of problems, maybe even premature tire wear and unexpected failure..

I got the shocks and upper brackts from Mor/yde and had to get the lower shock plates from Dexter. Apparently neither Dexter or Mor/yde could supply all the parts!! Dexter supplys a drawing as how they should be mounted. The fab shop said about two hours but the belly pan had to be removed so wiring could be kept away from upper bracket welding. He quoted me two hours and ended up with almost five but only charged me for 2 1/2. parts were about $260
and $220 for labor. The shocks coud only be installed at a 30-35 angle due to slide out bar, but is same as how they are installed on an 05 Everest RK. I would have to pull the wheels to get a picture but info supplied by Dexter and Mor/yde explained it. If I did it again I would pull the belly pans myself to save money. I can supply contacts and phone #, just send me a pm or can post
