We have been traveling with our yellow lab Magnum for the past 4 years in our Silverado/Montana. Magnum, although he is having a harder time as he approaches 11 years old, is able to leap from the curb onto the seat. He usually assumes a variety of amusing poses as we travel. The leather has held up well, even without a covering. Many MOC members who have been to the rallies in Goshen have met Magnum. He has been a great traveling companion. Labs love Montanas (and Chevy trucks).

Hello Dog Lovers!
There is a product on the market and I think it is called "Furmanator," or something similar. Well, how many of you have some dog clippers, or some old hair clippers that you used to use on the children.
Typically, the clipper heads come appart in two pieces. (I'm used to the Oster brand) If you take the two screws out of the head, and use the part that does not have threads, you have your own portable "Furmanator." Use the side that rubes against the "other part of the head" down. That will put your fingers on or near the sloped down side. Gently pull the contraption through your dogs hair at about a 45 degree angle. Watch the undergrowth hair just pull out. Pull the air off the end as needed and continue. When you are finished, put it in your pocket for when you are just sitting around petting the pet(s).
Most dogs have two coats of fur, one under and one on the top. The under one is the one you wil get with this type "furmanator."

Sharon, our dealer Mike Thompson called on the 15th and told us our monty will be in around the end of the month or the first part of Dec.
Yesterday the 19th the dealer called and informed us the trailer has arrived and will be ready for us to pick up on Friday the 23rd.
Wonders will never cease.

Welcome to the forum. We just returned from a 7 mo. trip with our Lab. I have a Dodge 3500 with a rear seat and 4 door. They come with a platform but the model I purchased didn't have the option so I just built a platform with indoor/outdoor carpet glued on, and hinged. The hing was necessary to get it in and out easily. When we travel our lab can sit on the floor and her head just comes above the window on the door, so she can see where we are going. She traveled extremely well. We will take her again next year. Good luck. John
