Annoying

So far, so good ---- we thought.
While loading up today, I noticed one of the cupboard doors looked "funny". Upon a closer look, it was the hinge coming out of the wood frame. We had this exact problem a few years ago with our 3685FL. Must be a long time employee worked on this one too

Chuck is now trying to put it back together. We didn't say much about the molding coming off on each side of the recliners. This is not a problem that "just" happened. You can see where they tried to fix it. When we call tomorrow about the air bed for the couch, we will also tell them about this.

Hope your problems will be looked after and I agree that it is annoying when a unit is sent out with flaws. I think 98% of the Keystone employees are great but a few of us get bitten by the 2% that do shoddy work. I still believe that Montanas are built better than most RVs in the same price range and I am pretty happy with mine. Good Luck in the future.

I agree. We have looked this thing over and over. But the hinge problem has happened twice to us. You saw the hanging door Bill on our 3685FL Big Sky. Same thing here.
Chuck fixed it and let's hope it holds. Still waiting to hear about the air mattress. Was supposed to have been shipped the day after we reported the slit. That was weeks ago.
Just so we don't have a problem with the closet rod, Chuck reinforced that. I know I carry more clothes than the average person.
We still are very happy with our purchase.
Want to find out more about the tire pressure monitors. Would like to get those for Father's Day.

We had three hinges do that same thing. Two I was able to fix with toothpicks and glue before resetting the screws. The other one our dealer fixed. I think he used some kind of wood filler.

I guess they must overtighten the screws and strip the wood. The ones we've fixed have now held no problem for over six months.

We have on of the doors under the sink do the same thing and fixed it with glud and toothpicks. You reminded me that I needed to look at it again since I think it has come loose again. Since we have the rear kitchen model I wonder if the location where the cupboard is located is subject to a lot of stress.

We are still waiting on our replacement air mattress so it sounds like Keystone is sending out quite a few of these and waiting for supply to catch up to demand.

That would be annoying. I've never bought a new one but you'd expect not to find those kind of problems after spending $50 - $60K on a trailer. A little commitment to quality would go a longs ways. There are ways to measure and correct those kinds of recurring defects.

Ours seems to vibrate loose during travel, allowing the hinge to flop back and forth. This strips the wood so that the screw will no longer hold. My fix has been to drill the hole all the way through and replace the wood screw with a machine screw with a washer and nut in the inside of the cabinet. Seems to be working pretty well. We've had to do this on 4 or 5 hinges so far. I guess I'll eventually have to redo all of them.

Finally got the replacement bed. Completely different from the original. No remote. Just buttons for inflate, off and deflate.

Wonder which type was suppose to be in our unit to begin with. When we looked at the unit, there was no slit in the air mattress. Then when we opened it a week or so later --- a slit. Wonder who's unit it came out of .

Will test this one and see what happens. Going to have my cell phone handy so I can call Chuck and have him come and get me out. Since no remote that I can grab.

Our dealer wanted payment. HUH ---- Chuck reminded them this thing is under warranty.
