Swivel Table
OK all of you 08 Aniversary model owners, Who out there has the swivel dinette table? Anybody that does could you tell me how well it works and maybe tell me about what is between the table top and the base to make it swivel. I priced changing my table out at $360.00. My VIN number ends in a 1 and the new aniversary models end in a 2, so I just missed these upgrades when I bought.

Waldo-Rex, Not a lot of time yet in the 08 3400, but with that said, i have already found it nice to turn the table around sideways, sit at the window looking right out while i read the 1,000 Manules from Montana or road maps laid out sideways. Can't wait to be looking over some lake out the window figuring out where to go next.
As far as whats under the table that makes it swivel' i don't know, but it does swivel easy, so i suspect a roller bearing assembly which works smooth. Hope this helps and don't get any link errors on the DMS.

Our 2008 3400 non-anniversary edition does not have a swivel table. It has the table that the end extends to make it longer. We were told that it does not swivel nor could I find any mechanism that would enable it to. All the models at the Pomona RV show in October had swivel tables and ours came off the assembly line late Novemeber. Go figure!! Are you sure yours is supposed to swivel??

Sharon,
Yours should slide back and forth at least (while sitting in chair table can be pushed away or pulled toward you). Look underneath for a couple of hinge looking things that lock it down.

Yes mine does not swivel, I am looking to see if I can adapt it to swivel. Being my rig has a rear kitchen it would be nice to get by with out opening the slide.

We are in the same boat as Kevin and Sharon, we also bought our 3400 around the same time they did.
Ours also does not swivel but slides back and forth,it also fell apart which I had to re glue back together again.
The one we saw at the show had a drawer under one end, ours came without.
360.00?

Our 08 3400 does swivel and slide. It is very stiff and hard to move however.

This a photo of our swivel table in our 3465SA. Pull the lever down and the table swivels. It swivels between the post and square piece of wood and turns very easy

AH, great pictures. Now I have something to on now that I can see how they have done it, thanks. Are you able to tell what is on top? Looks like the board is screwed to the table top bottom and then maybe threaded rod going thru the center piece?

I couldn't see how the top is attached. There is a space between the board and table top and I couldn't fell anything.
We had a 2006 3075 and I installed a hinge between the top and pedestal to make the table tilt down for access. It worked, but the table top was wobbly. I then tried a turntable like used on bar stools but the top was even more wobbly. I finally removed the screws that held the table to the floor and would just the turn the table. We strapped the chairs to the table and never had anything move when traveling.

Un-screwing the table would be they easiest choice by far. I will have to try that first before I start taking things apart.

Hi Waldo - below is a link to an archived forum topic that I posted some time ago. I converted my table top to a swivel top quite easily. Click on the link below. The first post explains how to do it and the second post has pictures.

Thanks for all those pictures! We also have a rear peninsula kitchen (3295RK) and it would be nice to be able to squeeze past the table to get to the area beyond. I am always forgetting to turn off the water pump and usually have to belly crawl over the kitchen counter and sink to get to our panel to turn off the water pump. This will solve that for me and take some stress off the counter! So I (Margee, not Doug) will go get the supplies needed and turn our sliding table into a sliding/swivel table.
