Landing gear
I have a 2006 Montana 2955RL. The front landing gear has always been slow, but today I could hardly see it moving at all. Is there some maintenance I should be doing? No reference in the owners manual, and no luck ith a search here. Any ideas how to get this thing up to its usual snails pace?
Thanks

Other than greasing the drive gears, no cited maintenance I am aware of.. I would look at: 06, if original motor, could be that motor, could be a bent leg, damaged or worn drive gear, damaged or worn gear box, or electrical or wiring issue as possibilities if everything looks normal with a visual check of everything in the front compartment. Do the legs move normally if you take the weight off and crank by hand?

Haven't tried that, I'll check it, thanks. I can't see anyplace ro grease the motor, and assumed it was a sealed unit.

Motor is not greased, but there is a cap at the top of the drive leg, pop it off and you will see the gears I was referring to. Those gears do require lubrication. Inside the leg itself at the top. The gearbox connected to the motor is also sealed.

as the other members stated about the gears lubrication, I found it easy to do the gears by having the RV on the truck and not dropping the legs I can run the legs down very fast because there is no load on them, I place a pie sheet under the leg to catch the oil WD 40 or LPS 2 it runs down the all thread while its turning I run it all the way down and up again I do both sides that way with the wife holding the switch.
