Montana relief
Here in the far away northwest when it gets 80 it is HOT. Several days this week it got up in the mid 90s. Ran a 30 amp line out to the Montana and had a great cooling off place. Had several cold ones while there. Today is back to the mid 70s. More like it.

Dick & Toni,
It is predicted to be 103 here in Spokane today with dry lightning this afternoon and tomorrow. Seems to have been a little warmer this summer. We are enjoying our last summer with the pool. We accepted an offer for our home, so it is almost sold - closing is 9/1/07.
Enjoy your nice weather up in Deming.

I decided many years ago when the snow was so deep that I had to go out of the side window of a locomotive and climb up to get off of the thing, that I would never complain about the heat again. One nice thing when we start full timing is the ability to chase the kind of weather that we love.

Here in Boise, ID it was 103 at 2:30PM. It is now 5:15 and cloudy with a temp of 84. The folks next door are also from Spokane and they agreed with DONnANNIE. Just can't wait to get to Redmond, OR for more of this enjoyable weather.....NOT. Had I known it was going to be this DA%% hot I would have stayed in Florida where it was only in the low 90's.

Dick and Toni, Sounds like heaven. We've been in the high 90s and low 100s for a couple of weeks now. Spent Friday on a wildland fire 20 miles south of us at Topaz Lake (800 ares), and just missed out on a couple of others this week and the big Angora fire at Tahoe (no complaints, though. Kids deserve the chance to play, too.) We fired up the AC when there was a threat of thunderstorms; that's when the evaporative coolers don't work.
We're looking forward to going to Calgary, but that won't be until the end of August.

Dick & Toni,
WOW - how the weather changes. The offical high hit 101 earlier this afternoon. By 3PM the wind kicked up. From 4-6 we had a little rain, wind and thunder & lightning. Several lightning caused fires. By 6PM the temp was down to 80 and muggy.
Firetrucker,
Thanks for fighting those fires down there. P.S. when you go to Calgary, if you come through Spokane, the coffee's on, if you and Sharon have time. Love to see you guys.

We don't need any talk about those mountains on that truck...
Everytime I see those, I keep thinking what it would look like on mine...

Thanks for the invite, Don. We're doing the planning this weekend, trying to get as many new states posted on the trailer as possible.
I'm still eating smoke, but letting the kids climb the hills.

Hello Dick and Toni,
You have some nerve! About a week or so ago we had 115.2 degrees here at the house. I was afraid to go outside it was so hot! Be glad when we can get out of here.
I could use some of your 70 or even 80 something temps!
Stay cool and see you later.

Hot in beautiful downtown St.Maries too. It was over 100* on Friday afternoon so we headed up to our river lot to soak and float and cool off. It is amazing what 12 miles and a little water can do. At night it cools off so one can sleep with out using the air.

And here in Texas it is the coolest and by far the wettest Summer I have ever seen and people that have lived here their whole life are saying the same.

Dick and Toni, come on over to this side of the big hill and you will need 50 amp to keep cool and am sure you will be forced to have more than one or two cold ones to keep you going. I can remember how awful it was on the west side when it got over 80 deg. I never could handle it.
Good to hear from you,
Dick & Jackie

Dick,
Sure wish I had my Big Sky to cool off in We're still looking at getting it around the week of August 6th and will be temporarily staying at a park in North Bend.
