hmmm, exhaust brake during cold idle

Just read in the manual that operating the exhaust brake during cold warmup idle will warm the engine more quickly. It makes sense I guess. You experienced exhaust brake folks probably knew this but I'll post it anyhow in case there's anyone else out there besides me who didn't know this.

I have Banks exhaust brake and it operates automatically during idle until the engine is upto operating temp. It does help even though we here in central Calif. don't know what cold weather is.

Only because we have failed to convince our children to move themselves and our grandchildren to somewhere warmer!
