Try River Bend in Hiwassee. Convenient to all the areas you mentioned.

We stayed in a CG in Murphy, NC. It was a own your site CG but owners rented their sites when they were not there. Do not remember the name. It was nice with very large sites. Make sure you visit Helen,Georgia and eat at one of the Bavarian themed restaurants.

Fort mt state park between ellijay and chatsworth. Good sites, first come first served. Sites on right hand side are more big rig friendly. We winter camp there over thanksgiving. 30 amp. Good hiking. Apple festival is going on now in that area. Historical.

we have 15 acres with a little cabin on it in tiger ga which is just a mile from clayton very nice area. we have a campsite on our property with power and septic we rent for people who want to stay a while. love it up there. there are some beautiful campgrounds. on 441 Tallulah falls there is a nice one on the gorge, on up the road in mountain city is black rock mountain, moccasin creek state park is an awesome one on lake burton its not far off 76 which runs into Hiawassee and on into blue ridge.

I feel compelled to say that Black Rock is not an option for most of us. The max trailer length is 25 feet, although I have seen a couple of sites there that would fit us. The access road is also steep and very curvy. It would be a bear to get in and out of the park with 39 ft behind. Its a shame! We used to take our pop up there and it was one of our favorite hang outs!

Sorry for the bad info. We have a house up there so we dont camp much up there unless were passing through. We hike up on black rock quite a bit but have never paid much attention to the campers up there. While the mountain roads can be challenging We are pretty use to them just have to be careful. We went to gilbert wv a few years ago and camped on top of a mountain there. It took low 4 w.d.to make it up the gravel road. I akways make a point of knowing my route when going to unfamiliar places.
