Not the dryer!!!
We were still high from getting our Big Sky back, problem free, from the Keystone Service Center. It was a long drop down from that high, when the dryer fried last night.
I guess it fried. Popped the breaker, and the main breaker, and the pedestal breaker. Opened the dryer to remove the clothes and it smelled really bad. Like an electrical fire. Unplugged it.
It was the first load of clothes I had done in a couple of days and it had only been running about 10 minutes.
I'm thinking we got a bad dryer. We already had to have it serviced once and it's only 10 months old. 4 months of that, it wasn't used because the Big Sky was in various shops.
It's going to be interesting to see how hard it is to get this repaired, since we are on Michigan's upper peninsula. There aren't many RV service places. GRRRRRRR!!!

... and yours is the flagship model of Montanas. Good luck with the fix.

Trouble seems to follow you the last while, sorry for that. It's probably just the dryer element that has fried and caused breakers to trip.
Of course we can't blame Keystone for shoddy workmanship for this one. My guess is it's a residential model that hopefully any appliance repair company can take care of that for you.
Clear sailing from here we hope!!!

Our splendide is now in its 10th year with not a problem and we use it a lot. Give Slpendide a call their service is great. Since you are way up in the boondocks find yourself a stream and a couple of rocks.

This is a Splendide dryer and I'm certainly not blaming Keystone for this one. With the dryer unplugged, all breakers were reset and everything is fine. I plugged my blow dryer in the dryer outlet and it worked with no tripping of breakers, so it had to be the dryer. Have a call into Splendide and waiting for them to call me. Last time they responded pretty quickly, so I expect to hear from them Monday. Hopefully, this won't take too long to fix/replace. We are in upper MI and RV repair shops seem to be kind of sparse. I'm hoping Splendide will be able to recommend someone and we will be able to just pull the dryer out and take it in without taking the whole rig.
Rich - The streams up here are waaaay too cold. Thankfully, my washer is fine. Of course, the campground doesn't allow clothes lines, so that means we would have clothes hanging all over the inside of the Big Sky. Guess I'll have to use their $1.75/load dryers . . .

YAY! Dryer is fixed and home. After calling Splendide, we took the dryer to After the Fact RV Sales and Service in Kincheloe, MI. Dropped it off Monday, they looked at it, ordered the part and fixed it. They called us to say it was ready at 1:30 today (Thursday.) Talk about service! They were awesome.
Turns out, it was the power cord. It shorted out at the junction box. Two wires melted together. Bob (our service guy) made sure the new cord, once installed, didn't have any wires crossed and were separated enough to keep it from happening again.
