Replaced The Thin Plastic Sink!
While setting up the Monty after our trip, Carolyn opened the medicine cabinet and something fell out into the sink and cracked the sink. These sinks are just thin plastic and I figured it would happen sooner or later.
Today I fixed the sink. I went to Lowes and found a sink on clearance for $20.00. It is a light Almond colored porcelain and was the same size as the original. Went in nice and easy. Now we have a good solid "real" sink.

Nice Job. I have wondered about that thin plastic a couple times myself.

Nice job! Much better looking sink and it probably has a better "feel".
I thought for sure ours would be broke by now too, but I'm heading in next week to get the kitchen sink replaced instead. Unfortunately, that means all of the counter too .

Looks great!
We put strips of plexiglas in our medicine cabinet shelves so things can't fall out. And we can see what is in there.

Looks great. Just talked to the wife about doing this to ours, although there is nothing wrong yet with ours. How much does that porcelain weigh? Probably not more than the extra weight we "incidentally" pick up during a trip to Walmart (or CW) to just "pick up one thing"...

dsprik, It is a bit heavier than the original. The original sink weights less than 1 pound, the porcelain is about 12 pounds. I figure if the weight becomes an issue I'll just carry a little less water or canned goods.

In my opinion, that may be a worthwhile tradeoff. I'll go through the wife's side of the closet and see if I can get rid of anything...
OK. How many of you guessed I would not get away with that?

Nice job. Been thinking when I would have to replace the sink due to an unexpected drop (we've had a few, already!).

I sure am glad Nila doesn't read this forum, you guys would have me going from dawn till dark. That is a nice improvement though, I especially like the house style stopper.

Dave,
You actually get some of the closet space? You have a very nice wife!

Brad,
That's the reason we got the 3400. She gets the big closet, I get the amour.

I pushed somebodies clothes over and put a tube in the middle to help support the clothes rod and it also acts as a divider. I'm not sure I'll ever hear the end of that.

Jim,
Thats exactly what Dory said when we walked into the 3400 - "Oh honey, look, a closet for you!"
However, she quickly found stuff to fill it anyway .
