Got low clearances?

I know this has been discussed before but for those that missed it, Lowclearances.com has a huge database of low clearances and it's growing. It can be used on your computers mapping program and on your trucks gps. They are running a special now, lifetime for $14.97.

I am not involved with this company in any way, just think it is a good product, especially since some of the new montana's are so high

I bought the Motor Carriers' Road Atlas but what you have suggested is MUCH BETTER. Thanks for the post!

I purchased LowClearances.com to put on my current GPS. The order & payment went through but no way to get the product. Their site said an email will arrive with instructions on how to download - no email and no number to contact them. Anyone else purchase from them and have an issue??

I have a Garmin and I use the text files from this site. They can be converted to be used in a Garmin device.
http://www.discoveryowners.com/cginfo.htm

Use this site to convert. I have not used this program but the support at Garmin gave me the site location. http://www.gpsvisualizer.com/convert_input

or use the POI loader from Garmin. This is how I loaded the low clearance. https://support.garmin.com/support/s...00000000000%7D

Their website has a Contact tab. E-Mail them.

Although it is very nice to have a GPS that displays or warns about low clearances, it is only a tool. Clearances can change due to road conditions.

So for planning purposes I use the AITA Low Clarance web site for travel.

Now, here is another link where you can find just about anything for your GPS or Mapping program. I particularly like the MEGA file for MS Streets and Trips.

Have fun Discovery Owners Club The MEGA file for MS Streets and Trips is a mind boggler.

Wayne: you have a malformed URL (404 Page Not Found) for the ATTA Low Clearance web site. The correct URL is:
http://www.aitaonline.com/Info/Low%20Clearances.html

That AITA site doesn't begin to list all the low clearances. For instance AITA lists 3 low clearances in Mich. and Low Clearances has 22.
