Curt sliding hitch?

I have a 2015 Ford F350 Short Box. Puck system. Pull a 3402.

Maybe it is time to go with a sliding hitch.

Any thoughts on a Curt hitch? They seems to being discounted at Etrailer. What size? 16K or 20K?

Any other thoughts?

Pullrite for me and have had a use for it at least every other year. When I've needed it, I really needed it. Part of the reason is that since I have it I can take the rig were I want to go.

My neighbor just installed a Curt 20K slider. Said he likes it well enough but likes my B&W slider better.

I have had the same sliding hitch in my short box Ford for 20 years, and have never used the slider. Not a recommendation either way, just sayin’.

I have this one in my Short bed 3500, no issues and I’ve used the slider a couple of times.

We have the Curt 20K with slider in our 6' bed also. I love the hitch. I'm glad I have the slider in case I need it, but to date have never used it.

Towed a 3402 for five years with curt q24 slider and shortbed 350. Beast of a hitch. Just made like a tank. No chucking or noise of any kind. That’s said, I never really needed the slider. The slope and angle of the trailer just really made it unnecessary in any condition that I ever found myself in. I would just be mindful but offer the non slider. The non slide you can handle yourself. The slider takes you and three friends to get in and out of the truck. No kidding. I just went dually so going to convert the slider to non slide so I can get it in and out of truck myself. If you want a good deal on the full slider and you’re gonna be in north Florida let me know. I’ll make you a great deal. .

Curts Q series hitch is really a great product. 360 degree pivot for smooth pulling.

Do you need a slider for your rig? Only way to tell is to hook it up to a non-sliding hitch and see if the front FW cutouts miss the back corners of your TV. If not, you'll need a slider, and whatever brand you get, go automatic and have a couple of thousand pounds reserve with the hitch.

I have a B&W 18k slider and it is a tank like the Curt. Recommend you get the one at the best price, both are great hitches IMHO
Slider is nice to have.
I use it all the time because I have a toolbox in front of the hitch so it's difficult to connect without it.

ETrailer generally has the best prices and handles B&W and probably Curt as well. Fast shipping too.

Curt hitch

Buying an 2003 Ford f350 dually with 8 ft box. I see folks like their Curt hitch. Do I need a slider. We have a 3852rl monte. First 5th wheel owned.

I have towed for many years with a short box Ford and no slider. I don’t think you’ll need it with the 8’ box.

I do not think you will need a slider hitch on an 8' bed. I have always had Reese hitches until I bought my last pickup which came with a factory installed Curt hitch with puck system. I like it very much. I do have an 8' pickup bed and have never used or needed a slider hitch. Hope this helps.
