That's interesting. I wonder if there isn't some warping that's put pressure on the lugs that go into your rails. Ours is a Curt, but is also rail mounted and has a small amount of 'wiggle'. Haven't ever thought about lubricating the lugs/rails since I leave the hitch on our Monty pretty regularly.
