I have a louvered tailgate in the basement. I'm waiting for the auto manufacturers to build a truck with enough good looks to be compatible with that aftermarket beauty!!

Actually I just wanted to see if I could roll this thread to page 7.

If you use a roll and lock slide cover you can slide it back to almost the 5th pin and no body can see anything inside the box then all the way back to the stock tail gate . us northern boys gone south know to keep the snow out of the box you cover it , it dosent take a lot of brain for that so now we keep the dust and fingers out of the box .. i think this will go to page 8 soon john

well maybe this will make page 8, I built my own lowered gate. With an 8' bed you can't open the stock gate if the truck is at any kind of angle. had to have something differnet and had no time to buy a V gate.

How about a v-net? Not mesh, ribbon. No chrome and no louvers and no angle iron, maybe Robbie would like that better

Brad, see if this makes the 8 pages for you.

I figure when I forget to put my tailgate down when hooking up or unhooking then I will look into a louvered tailgate, until then I like the tailgate that came with the truck.

Had a louvered tailgate and was always concerned about prying eyes. I'll stick with the stock tailgate.

you know if your truck is white and a real good coat of wax it gets better mileage than a dirty truck as the dirt slows down a truck, also as white is not a color it goes faster because its not there john

Sailer,

As an expert and obviously smarter than a 5th grader, then do you think chrome would be faster than white?

Page NINE!

Me thinks white is the absence of color? Chrome, if polished would be very slick.
Possibly faster than white.
9?
