My heart goes out to them. What a disappointment and Keystone seems to be leaving them hanging. Makes me question the wisdom of investing in a new rig. Best of luck to them.

Are there switches, similar to a full hydraulic system, where there are individual valves to turn off or on the operation of a single slide? Just thinking out loud. Hope they can get it working.

Rich are all the cables hooked up, is there a cable broke? If so I have a quick fix that WILL work and I can send the ends to the cable tomorrow next day. Both ends can be installed in 30 minutes. It's easy. Of course at NO charge not even for postage.

Questions: Does there appear to be power to the motor on that slide, is it making any noises or just "nothing".
Is this the only cable slide on that model. Does this slide have it's own switch separate from the others or do all slides work on one switch. There should be some (see minimal) information with their owners package, for instance how to get the slide out if the motor is not working or no power.

Perhaps a fuse has blown that supplies that motor. A bit more info might be helpful in suggesting a solution.

Absolutely unbelievable what those folks are having to go through, wish I was camped next door we would figure it out.

If I can help I go to the Post Office every day at about 12:30. The cables are held by 2 set screws. EASY.

Mine came with a tool which enables the manual operation of the bedroom slide using a drill. Access by removing screws in panel above the headboard. My bedroom slide is the only cable driven slide.

Steve is correct, ours came with a flexible bit that can be used to extend the cable slides.

My trailer's in storage, but it is a flexible rod about 12" long, but can't remember if it's a socket or Allen wrench type head.

Thanks, everybody! When we pushed the switch, there was nothing. No sound, no movement, nada. We found the tool. (it's a square head kinda like an allen wrench, but 4 sides instead of 6.) We were charging the cordless drill in order to give it a try. I suddenly got an idea. Had Steve remove the panel in the basement to expose the infamous board that has been replaced 4 times and is fried again. Told him to watch for sparks and used the remote to try to open the bedroom slide. HOORAY!!! No sparks and it worked! We are in business.

As a follow-up to our ordeal - Keystone has finally agreed to bring the unit to their service center at the factory. HOORAY! Our appointment is for April 20th. We are so looking forward to having our unit fixed because we really do love it and want to keep it.

Good news, Gina and Steve. Glad you got the slide working, AND that they'll take you in Goshen to resolve your issues. Hoping your experience at the service center is a good one, as so many others have had. Safe travels and Happy Retirement.

the service center will get it done and is were it should have gone in the first place.I mean replace 4 boards and and they all fry. Would that not be a hit that the problem IS NOT the board.

I learned a lot that will help me in the proper repair and installation of our failed tanks.

Glad you're finally getting the help you need. The service center will treat you right, it's just a shame they don't build them over there.
