Get rig you feel most comfortable in and then the truck you need. Living full time in your rig is a lot more fun if you have what you want and don't spend time wishing you had a different rig. Full timing will cause you to accumulate much more weight than weekend camping. You'll notice I have a 2500, but it's rated for more weight than we pull. If we buy a new rig we for sure will need a bigger truck because the new rigs are heavier than ours.
