Great CG, but I'm happy I didn't get the wash!
After leaving the Rally, we spent some time in southern MO, on to Santa Fe and now near Deming, NM on the way to Tuscon and Phoenix. Found a really nice southern NM CG with Passport America (El Rancho Lobo). Only problem was having to travel over 2.5 miles on county dirt roads (in NM, that means DUSTY!) to get to it. Wifi is great, excellent staff and services. Only problem is now I've a tan sided Monty! Since it doesn't rain much here, guess we'll have to live with it for a while.
So far, we've only had a few spots of bad Interstates. Taos had the worst city streets we've seen. Maybe we're in for a surprise later on.

Hey - a little NM dirt is a sign of really traveling! Figure I'll wash it good when we get back home in a month.

We're in the Deming area a couple of times a year and it's always dusty in the southern part of New Mexico. We'll be down there next week and it's supposed to rain in NM off and on for the next several days. Mostly in the north, however. Most likely because we're going up to Santa Fe. The word on the weather was that this winter should be wetter than normal in NM and AZ.

We are also glad we missed the trailer wash. Besides all the bugs on the rig, we were parked south of Odessa, TX on Tuesday when the wind blew all day, adding quite a bit of dirt all over the truck and trailer. Before heading out of Benson, AZ this morning for Sun City, the truck looked so bad, we ran it over to the car wash to remove the dirt and a layer of bugs. Not supposed to be any rain here for at least a week. They allow washing rigs here, so that will happen soon. Sure had a good time at the Rally, thanks to the wagon masters and all their assistants. Hopefully we can do it again next year.

Dirt's not a problem. When we got back from Alaska, we had a collection of bugs on the front cap that would have done the Smithsonian proud. They weren't nearly as easy to wash off as dirt is, though some birds did try to help - seems they thought it was a smorgasbord.
