We store ours behind my chair when traveling. When we bought ours the dealer had already had an issue with our model and warned us to store them when on the road. Someone had their's bounce off, land on the table (when the slide is in it's right against the sink} and use the table as an avenue to exit the Monty thru the window next to the table. That visual was enough for us.

Ours have never moved from the sinks when traveling and I put them behind the stove top like a back splash when not traveling. Helps protect the wall from splatters. I move them if using back burner.
