Montana web site

This is a great web site. We have a 2009, 29' Monty. The Manuel rocker switch for the landing gear quit, when we were hooking up. When I would push the switch, retract or extend, it would blow the 30amp fuse. The remote work, so was able to hook up. Took trailer to RV repair, he wasn't sure how to fix it and would have to do a lot of testing. I search this on this web site and found how to fix problem. Cut the ground from the black box controller and grounded it to the chassis, problem solved. Save a couple of hundreds in repair cost.
Thank you Montana Owner's Club.

Faulty grounds are the roots of evil! They cause a lot of headaches if not clean and well grounded properly. Thanks for sharing your fix!

Actually the ground isn't faulty it's a relay in the remote module. Grounding the wire is a work around. The + side has been known to fail also(ask me how I know).

I agree, this is a good site. I've been helped here many times, and it's the first place I look for help.
