Cable problems

Our cable worked when we left home 4 weeks ago. The last two campgrounds have had cable and we can't get it. They brought down another TV and it is in our unit for sure. We have changed cable wires and still no luck. Any thoughts or suggestions?

The television is not by chance set on air antenna instead of cable? Does it work on antenna?

Your antenna booster has to be off.

The booster is off and the antenna us set ib cable. I've done the same programming since we bought it in 08 and that is what has us perplexed. But thanks for those suggestions!

There have been problems with the crimping or lack of at the cable connections on the back of the face plates. Might be the first place to start troubleshooting. If you have two televisions and neither are working, I would start checking the convenience center connections on the back.

If your cable is long enough you might try running it directly from the pedastal to your TV just to make sure it works with your TV.

We we had that problem it was as Bingo has suggested. Replaced the connections in the convenience center and solved the problem.

I had to fish post cable thru window to Tv until I found problem. In my bedroom where the booster & connections are, I pulled both face plates. One cable pulled loose from the booster. I didn't have a crimping tool. Fortunetly, it was a short wire that ran thru wall to the plate that has the real short loop. I just replaced that wire with a short spare cable wire. Hope your solution is easy too. There was a post last year on poor crimping from factory.

On our new 3725, I was tearing my hair out trying to figure out why I couldn't get the satellite to work. It worked for the bedroom TV but not the living room (separate cable feeds). Finally discovered that, as mentioned, the crimping was not done right. It was not the main center wire, it was the shielding (ground) around the cable that kept it from making a complete circuit. They can work loose just from vibration, if not done correctly.

Ours failed once. We found a bad connection at the short jumper wire in the closet near the main TV.

Thank you. We aren't sure where or what the convenience center is. Would appreciate more info.

Convenience center is where your water, cable, etc. hook-ups are.
