Were exactly are the black and grey tanks located?

Got a wild hair to do some major work tomorrow and got to thinking I don't know enough yet. I've always assumed that the grey and black tanks are under the floor behind my suicide step. Is there any chance there is something under the floor of the basement other than insulation? Don't need to drill into something and add another layer of fun.

on my 2980rl the black tank is nestled up under the floor of my front basement so I don't use any screws longer than 3/4". I don't know where your tanks are located but dropping the bottom would give you the best view of your Gray and Black tanks location and how close they are to the bottom/top of the floor.

That's what I was wanting to know. Amongst other things I'm putting in a new water pump and needed to know how deep the screws could go.

Dick,
The floor you walk on has a 3-4" space under it with heat ducts, plumbing and insulation. Below that is a sub floor that rest on top of the frame. The tanks are below this between the frame rails. Up front in the storage area I'm not sure

Here's a shot looking forward from the belly behind my entry steps. The tape is up against the bottom of the flooring under the steps going to the bedroom ... the aluminum tube with particle board on top in the background behind the body of the tape is the floor in the pass thru storage area. The tanks are about 3" below the top of the floor in the pass thru storage compartment.

Got the same year & model. I dropped the front part of coroplast (sp?) last year to put a better seal & keep water out, the under the basement part. The black tank is there and easy to get to.

Hi

We have the 2009 3665RE and the toilet room black and grey tanks are under the floor that is behind the basement aft wall. There is nothing under the basement floor except for wiring. The structure for the basement floor in front of the aft wall and to the fire wall at the back of the generator compartment is aluminum square tubing about 3 inches square. There is not any practical way to get under that portion of the floor.

The galley grey tank is located under the floor over the rear axle.

The reason I am so familiar with this portion of the trailer is because I had to correct the incorrect installation of the level indicator probes in the black and grey tanks.

I had to remove and replace the basement floor because Keystone had never correctly installed the convenience center and water lines. This was done from inside the basement instead of from the belly because of the difficulty of and the work required to remove the belly covering under the basement floor.

Phil P

Phil's right - I found it when removing the covering back to the tank, starting from drop down.
