Landing gear pin pulled out?

I was leaving the campground this morning and the pin that locks the landing gear legs in place pulled out when I tried to raise the pads. After looking at the pin I figured out there is a washer crimped into the hole that keeps the pin from pulling out. The washer came loose and won't stay in the hole. Is there a replacement or a better way to keep this from happening again? I locked the J T stabilizers down tight so the leg wouldn't fall if the pin popped out while I was driving. Any advice would be appreciated.

Thanks ,Steve

These pins assys are available anywhere from an RV dealer to Amazon.com. They're anywhere from $15 - $30 depending on the source, so it won't be a big expense. Could they be repaired ... perhaps with a bit of ingenuity.

I was thinking.. always dangerous.. drill a hole in the top, or side, then spray the inside of the housing with a rust-buster chemical, maybe just WD-40 (where would we be without WD-40?) pull the pin out release it, and turn it if you can, about 20 times to free the pin/spring assembly up, then seal the hole with a dab of liquid steel mixed up into a paste.
That is what I would do, if it wouldn't work, then go to plan 'B'.

These things are spring loaded. If it doesn't work properly, I 2nd what Ozz said.
