Bought a new 2012 3400RL and am wondering what the weight is. Can anyone point me in the right direction.

That's going to have a lot to do with what you carry and how you load it. You can take it to a truckers scale and get a general idea for now. The best thing is to take it by a Rally or an Escapee park were they are set up to weigh each wheel individually.

Find a local CAT scale and weigh truck and RV.

According to a Keystone brochure I picked up at the RV show, shippig wt for the 3400 is 12,533 dry. That should be a good starting point for you. As indicated, best solution is load it up with what you normally carry, and take it to the scales.

John if you did not get one when you purchased your Montana, ask the dealer for a copy of the "Certificate of Origin" This will show the date of manufacture and the actual shipping weight depending on what options were factory installed. It can vary some from what the brochures list if you have the second AC unit and the Generator.
My Certificate showed my 2012 was shipped at 12,980, I do not have the second AC or the generator, but it is equipped with the 6 point level up system. The GVWR on my unit is listed on the Certificate at 15,805 lbs.
Your final weight will depend on how and what you carry with you. I will be running mine over the scale tomorrow or Friday and will post the weight loaded and ready to go with what I pack along. My truck scaled out today full of fuel, loaded except for the wife and dog at 8884 lbs.
Be cognizant of how heavy you load both the truck and trailer, and run maximum air pressure in your Monty tires, if they are Goodyear Marathons then run them at 80# cold.
Have fun with the new unit.

I took the east way out. For all my planning (such as what size truck) I used the RV's GVWR. As an aviator, I knew the importance of weight and that I'd never exceed that number. If you opt to weigh it, weigh it annually...the more you go, the more 'stuff' you will add and the heavier it will get.

AFAIK, each and every Montana is weighed as it leaves the factory. The actual weight is posted on a yellow sticker on the entry screen door. Of course you will have to weigh it again (CAT scale, Oregon road scale, mobile scale at rallies, local grain or moving company, etc.) to determine the total weight after you have it loaded.
