hose reels

well i was looking a camping world for away to reel up my hoses and the power cable the ones at CW were around $400.00 each that is way to much for me so i was at wally world and they had plastic hose reels for about $20.00 each but they were plastic ones. one day my wife the one that is the smart one in this relationship she said how about Harbor freight they had Air hose reels at $17.95 each with a 20% discount coupon it bring it down to $14.96 each and they are metal. so 3 of them cost me $44.88 and not $1185.00 from CW.they are not finished but so far they are going good.

Generally CW is not the best place to get RV parts. Tweety's, Eastern Marine, Trailer Parts Superstore, RV Surplus and frequently Amazon will give you better products and/or better prices than Camping World.

Assume the ones from CW were the power reels with electric motors and installation hardware, and HF were just manual reel drums. NOT defending CW! They are expensive on all products.

I would like to add your photos/photo album of this improvement to the new home web pages on the Members Show & Tell page.

If you have any objections, please email or PM me and I will not add your mod to the Home pages.

If I don't hear from you, I will try to get this interesting improvement added in the next 36 to 48 hours.

Sincerely,

Webmaster.

Be interested to see how the power cord reel works in the winter. I've seen them on high end motor homes, but those vehicles also have high end power cords with much softer and more flexible rubber. Having hauled my power cord around in January, I don't think it would work on that reel.
