That bites. Didn't head south in time. Yikes. Near Watertown, NY.

Shoulda had a cover. Notice the rig that's still standing up to the left in the picture? It has a cover. Stay tuned for the aftermath of the Polar Vortex when everything starts to melt. Oh my.
DonandBonnie, I think the compass only works when the weather is good. During the Polar Vortex no compass would have been able to get you south. Timing is everything.

Our Montana survived the recent ice storm in Oklahoma. The only issue we had we leaving was the driver side slides wouldn't close because they still had a thick layer of ice on them. They were facing due North and never got sun on them. I had to pull the RV out with slides open and turn it toward the sun before it started melting with help of some hot water. Otherwise it survived well in single digit temps.

When we visited New York last August, we stayed in a campground that was filled with summer tenants who come and stay weekends because they still worked in the area!
Not everyone can just up and leave at their own "Bek and call"!!!
As my infamous HoboBob says... That nasty four-letter word.... Work!!!
Hope they have good insurance.

Mom always made me put my toys away. Leaving Monty by the river wouldn't qualify. Ice jams, unexpected spring rains etc.

Wow! Seems a good fix if you can't find that "S" on the compass, is a flotation system and a boat motor. Heck, isn't that how house boats are made? We just need to come up with a good "life ring" for the Monty!
