Gasket on slide

I have a 2010 347 THT Mountaineer. I just notice when I pulled my large slide in that it pinched the outside gasket & put two holes in it, they do not go all the way through. I wonder if I can adjust the ram so as it does not come in as far & that will take care of it. The holes are on the side where there is another small gasket which seals the slide from the bottom. Thank You for opinions.

Look carefully where the holes are on the gasket and compare the slides themselves at the same area and see if there are screws located opposite the gasket on the slide with rough heads on them. A simple file to remove any barbs may be your fix. I remember on the PDI for our 2007 3400 that I spotted a couple of screws like that and had the dealer smooth them up before I took delivery. Just a thought.

Bncinwv, I looked there was not any screws that could be touching the gasket. I took and backed the lock nut off which sets the distance the slide pulls in about 1/2 inch. I thank this will do it, will have to check the gasket on top, I have looked at the side gaskets & they look good, the final test will be rain.
