Check lists

Looking for a comprehensive set up list. I usually follow a pretty standard pattern but I moved up to at 3295RK and an additional kid and I want to make sure I don't miss anything. Lists are a good thing and I hope someone out there has a good one to share.

Here are a few things to look at. Just remember after you get stated stick to the list and try not to get interrupted by the wife, kids, the new buddy you just made in the next camp site, or you will forget something.
You will need to make your own checklist that fit’s you’re requirement on how you want to set-up and breakdown your tow vehicle.

I use a checklist on one side of an 8.5 X 11 inch page and a log on the other. If you want to take a look at it, I have an Excel spreadsheet which you can modify at will. One side is "sheet 1" the other side is "sheet 2". Click the link below to see or download this spreadsheet file:

I have an Excel spreadsheet for hook up and break down that I use and simplified so it goes to my Pocket PC. It is unique to us. And while others are a good starting point, I think everyone has to make their own for their unit and their family. IMHO. I also have a "Monty Stocked" spreadsheet that I check before each trip in case we have "borrowed" something from Monty. He sits next to our stick house so it is easy to borrow.
Happy trails.....................

Want to reinforce your use of checklists. The only times I made errors was when I didn't checklist my tasks.

David and Shirley, Thanks again for your list. I have made a copy , added a few things that apply to my set up and ran off a few to leave in the trailer. Moving a rig without a checklist can be an expensive mistake. Take care.

Thanks for your response, Wrenchtraveler, we find the log especially valuable in keeping a record of our mileage and use of the Montana. When the page gets full we just bring it in and file it. We use it to keep a spreadsheet which carries a running total of our mileage and nights spent. As you will note, the spaces on the back side of the sheet refer to the corresponding checkout on the front side.

As I have said several times before, we use it only for "take off" and have not found a need for checklist on "landing." As a spreadsheet, modifications are easy when a need for additions, deletions, or corrections are observed in use.

Great ideas and inputs. Thanks. I anticipate using checklists every time.
I even use checklists for tracking my checklists (I have "sometimers" disease - lol.

Parrothead, "Monty Stocked" is a great idea ... that way I guess it's always ready to go whenever you are! Care to share some 'general' items that might be on that list?

Cheers!

Parrothead - Very helpful starting point for a stocking list.
Thanks so much for sharing.
These are the type of details that take time to develop on our own but which will save us many headaches as we start.
Keep smilin'.
