2 Trojan T145 6v Batteries...Capacity??

Upgraded the single 12v battery that had virtually no stamina to a dual 6v Trojan T145 setup. Change has been great. Once had to sit/wait for the 12v to charge from my truck to use Level Up, hitch up and leave...that was frustrating. Good news...that problem has been solved.

Am at camp Walmart tonight and turned off the inverter for the residential fridge for fear of draining batteries. Irrational fear? Am thinking these 2 batteries should have plenty of juice for the fridge for 6 to 8 hrs and Level Up in the morning but don't want to get stranded/delayed here.

Any thoughts and rationale would be much appreciated!

I had the same problems as you only it was the furnace that ran down the single 12v battery that the dealer kindly provided. Each morning I would have to hookup the cord to the truck and run it just to start my 5500 generator. Had to be really careful that I always uses the battery disconnect or I had dead battery and couldn't hook up (level up system). Since I put in the twe Trojan 6v batteries I haven't had any issues and I don't worry about having to use the battery disconnect. I would think that they will have enough juice to run the fridge and still do the level up in the morning.

Ours has 4 Trojan 6v batteries and I have yet to have an issue. Seems to have all the power needed for 3 days or more with the 1700w inverter on.

You should have plenty of power, but using level up in a Walmart lot is generally considered a no no. Many of their lots have damage due to jacks on hot asphalt.

THANKS Dan Worker, Mark, and DQ!

DQ...thanks for the heads up on Jack's! Was 90 something in NYC and near Philly but was in the 60's in Youngstown...our stop. Worked out with no damage...certainly don't want to cause damage and give us RV'ERS a bad rap and discourage future Walmart stays! Will definitely keep that in mind!!
