Sewer Solution Help Needed
We'll be heading out in less than 3 weeks and I realized today I may have some issues because our site is meant to be for a motorhome pulling in, not a fifth wheel backing in so I called the campground and asked where the hookups are. It seems that they're at the front of the site and slightly uphill.
I figured a Sewer Solution might be a good idea, but I can't seem to find out how long the hose is and other than the Sewer Solution kit is there anything else I need?

Here's your answer, including if you need extra hose: http://www.amazon.com/Valterra-SS01-...sewer+solution

Thanks for the link. That's actually what I was looking at. It looks like the hose in the kit is 10'. I need 30' - 40' from what I can tell. People on the Amazon site are talking about attaching a hose (grey water, garden, etc.) but I can't imagine a hose that small handling the waste that comes out. Also, how do I attach a hose? Do I need something special? And do I need a special sewer donut? Something special to attach to my rv?
Thank you in advance for any and all answers.

The 10 foot hose that came with our Sewer Solution had the end to fit in the sewer. We purchased another 10 foot section and there was a sleeve that allowed us to connect the hoses together. Twenty feet was all we needed.

At that distance you probably need a powered macerator and those can be expensive but have been used by some members over long distances. Here are some of the choices and you can just add regular garden type hoses in the middle on most of them: http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=nb_sb_ss...acerator&ajr=2

We have a flojet that I've used with a 50 ft garden hose. It works great.

I have the Sewer Solution and what I did was take two pieces of pvc pipe about 7 ft long that I can add to the 10 ft hose. They can be put together with a coupler so you can run about 24 ft, I have not used the add on but did try it with all attached, with no problem. I bought a 50 ft. 3/4 inch hose at Harbor Freight but thought it handled worse then a 50 amp cord so that is the reason for the pcv.
A word of caution on using the S/S, It drains much slower so back flushing is must.
Overall I am very satisfied with ease of operation and storing capabilities.

I'll second that, but we only use it at home.

I also use the Sewer Solution. We have 3 10' sections of hose for various site needs. They connect easily, like Chinese finger cuffs (twist to tighten). Kit comes w/the sewer pipe dump fitting that can be configured for 3 or 4" pipes. The bayonet mount for your dump pipe is clear, so you can see the flow, and has a quick disconnect fitting (hose fitting comes w/it) and shutoff valve. The disconnect inlet for water can also be switched from left to right, depending on your desired way to attached the water/garden hose. I've had good luck w/the water pressure (jet) pushing the dump uphill, too. Good luck.

I don't know if anyone can help with this, but my husband is concerned because my son tends to get constipated, then when he does go, he produces very wide, hard stools. Would the spray be able to macerate large, hard stool? If not, my husband is worried about disconnecting with black waste in the line and the mess it would make. Sorry for being so graphic.

For your situation you probably need a powered macerator.

We have a macerator that we use when needed. It works great! We don't have an RV dump at home, but we do have clean outs we can access. So the macerator comes in handy for extra flushing, or when we have guests park in our yard.
